About Husson University

Husson University is a private university located in Bangor, which is a city in the US state of Maine, serving as the county seat of Penobscot County, having a population of more than 31 000 inhabitants, as estimated during the 2000 census.

Husson was established in 1898 and was named after its founder, Chesley Husson. It was originally called Shaw School of Business, and was later known as Husson College, until it became known under its current name, in October, 2008.

It presently offers its students both undergraduate and graduate degrees, through its 5 schools: Health, Business, Science, Education, Pharmacy and Humanities.

Athletics

Husson's athletic teams are known as the Eagles and they compete in NCAA Division III, in the North Atlantic Conference, the university fielding 13 varsity sports teams. Their distinctive colors are green and gold.
